Our team down the hall is going to be raising money for the impacted businesses in the Ely area!
RIDE FOR THE REGION
Our first concern continues to be the safety of the customers, residents, visitors and emergency crews affected by the wildfires in northeastern Minnesota.
Wildfire-related closures in parts of the Boundary Waters and Superior National Forest have forced many visitors to cancel or change their trips up north. Those cancellations are creating serious hardship for local resorts, outfitters, hotels, motels and vacation rentals during the heart of our short summer season.
A side-by-side ride cannot replace a Boundary Waters canoe trip. We get it. However, where conditions remain safe and trails are open, it offers another way to experience the beauty of the U.S. Forest Service-Superior National Forest and northern Minnesota while continuing to support the communities that depend on summer visitors.
From now through August 16, Lossing’s Power Sports will set aside 50% of the profit from every completed side-by-side rental booked using promotional code BWCA. Those funds will be distributed among Ely-area tourism businesses directly affected by fire-related cancellations, including resorts, outfitters, hotels, motels and independent vacation rentals. At the end of the campaign, we will publicly share the result and will manage fund distribution via the Ely Chamber of Commerce.
If your original plans have changed but you can safely keep your trip north, we encourage you to stay local, eat local, shop local and explore the areas that remain open.
Book at Lossings.com/rentals.html and use code BWCA at checkout.
Let’s keep supporting the people and businesses that make Ely and the Superior National Forest such a special place.
