This is a video taken by Drone of Baker's Box on the Upper Animas. This is why it is a mandatory portage. One time we had a customer who repelled into the box to retrieve his kayak. It had a log stuffed into the cockpit. He had to cut it out with a bow saw, and then climb back out with his boat. Not being a Climber, I have difficulty imagining how he did this, but we did fix his Kayak.
