The application period for Ohio Department of Natural Resources Forestry’s Volunteer Fire Assistance Grant program is now open! If your fire department is within the shaded are on the map you may qualify to receive VFA funding. The VFA Grant program is a 50/50 cost share grant focused on helping fire departments that serve rural areas in Ohio acquire wildland fire equipment (UTVs/ATVs/wildfire slip-in units), PPE, MARCS communication devices, and other items that support fire department development.
