Great to see Champion Waste & Recycling Services featured in BioCycle! π±
The Dallas-based hauler and composting operator has built a truly vertically integrated operation: collecting food waste from establishments like Chipotle and Starbucks, then processing it at their own 62-acre facility with capacity for 400 tons/day.
At the heart of their preprocessing operation: a Backhus A60 windrow turner keeping the compost process efficient at scale, and a Tiger Depackager handling everything from packaged food waste to commingled loads β all inside a fully enclosed receiving building.
It's rewarding to see our equipment play a role in diverting food waste from landfills and turning it into a valuable soil amendment. Congratulations to Paul Kuhar and the entire Champion team on this well-deserved recognition.
Texas company had been collecting commercial organics for almost 15 years, but the lack of composting infrastructure for tipping led to opening its own facility in 2022.
