FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
Mears Machine is looking to fill entry level and experienced CNC Manufacturing Machine Operator, Manual Manufacturing Machine Operator, Programming and Quality Inspection positions for our Avon, IN precision manufacturing, fabrication and assembly company. TRAINING IS PROVIDED
• $18.00 - $35.00/hr, depending on experience
• 401(k)

• Regular Overtime, paid at 1.5x after 40 hrs
• 1st Shift: 7:30am-4:30pm
• 2nd Shift: 2:00pm – 11:00pm
• Job Type: Full-time / Part-time available. Must be flexible / willing to work any day of the week (as agreed to), an off shift and/or rotating shifts as applicable or assigned. Overtime may be required
• Ability to commute reliably for on-site operations
• Manual / CNC Machine Operations: 0-5+ years of experience
• Shift availability: ALL SHIFTS AVAILABLE
PURPOSE AND SCOPE
Mears Machine, located in Avon, IN, was founded in 1966 and is a world class supplier of precision machined components, complex fabrications and assemblies, sheet metal weldments and brazed assemblies for the aerospace, aviation, space, bio-medical and industrial business sectors. We are 110,000 square feet (expanding to 160,000 square feet), full-service development and production supplier that makes precision and complex flight and development hardware for Blue Origin Rocket Engines, Rolls-Royce F135 Lift System (most sophisticated Military Fighter Aircraft in the world), missile parts for Honeywell, multiple parts for GE Aviation, Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, and many other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Must be able to move about in the processing areas and be able to do the following: lift and carry 50 pounds, stand and walk for sustained periods; climb stairs and ladders; bend; reach; push; and pull.
• Required education and experience: High school diploma or GED required
• Read, write, and speak English
• Willing to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
• Attitude and aptitude to learn and contribute to a team base in a collaborative and positive way.
• Strong communication skills to share information, data, and ideas with peers and leaders
• Ability to read and understand drawings, or the willingness to learn
• Demonstrate good decision-making ability and communication skills
• Computer literate and ERP / MRP experience a plus
• Able to develop and apply mechanical/problem solving skills, preferred
• Knowledge of Safety, Good Manufacturing Practice and Quality, a plus
• Forklift experience, a plus or ability to get forklift certification
