Candidates should have the following abilities:
• 5 years in set-up, troubleshooting, and adjusting of CNC Lathes and bar feeders
• G-Code Programming
• Mill-Turn Experience – 4 & 6 Axis
• Calculate and set controls to regulate speeds, feeds, coolant flow, and depth of cut
• Enter commands to retrieve, input or edit programs
• Align and secure: fixtures, work holdings, cutting tools, attachments, accessories
• Change standard cutting tools and reset machine to proper size
• Adjust basic offsets to maintain part integrity
• Detect malfunction or out-of-tolerance conditions
• Hold tight tolerances (less than .001”)
• Blue Print Reading
• GD&T knowledge and understanding
• Machining various types of materials
• Standard gauges and inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore gages, etc.

3 - 5 years independently setting up and adjusting 5-Axis CNC Mills
G & M-Code Programming using Fanuc controls at the machine
Understanding of tooling applications to perform machine operations
Enter commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control media
Ability to assist in design and development of dedicated work holding fixtures
Change cutting tools and reset machine to proper size
Adjust basic offsets to maintain part integrity
Detect malfunction or out-of-tolerance conditions
Holding of very tight tolerances to meet customer requirements (.0001)
Experienced with short and long running jobs/programs
Use of coordinate systems (P offsets).
Probing cycle experience a plus.

Use of hand held inspection devices such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, dial bore, etc.
