When you join Green Iron Academy, who will you be learning from? 🤔 As an intensive training program, we're proud to have multiple certified trainers, industry experts, and current service department employees ready to help you build on your skills and gain the knowledge needed to begin a career as a John Deere ag equipment technician.
🧑‍🏫 Roy Kokemuller, Van Wall Technical Training Specialist, is our lead instructor and center of our program. He brings many years of experience guiding students through similar technician training programs, and has a background of wrenching on equipment, cars, and trucks himself. We're lucky to have Roy on the team, and know he's excited to bring experience & energy to the Academy!
đźšś Joining Roy throughout the program are other industry experts, senior Van Wall technicians, and some of our service leadership. Providing a whole-team approach to teaching means you get to hear multiple points of view on how to think through problems, firsthand accounts of what works best in the field, and tips that can only come from years of experience.
🔧 At Green Iron Academy, we're focused on more than just teaching you the basics of engines or powertrains. Not only will you gain hands-on knowledge of modern agricultural equipment, but we'll also spend time on how to diagnose issues, what steps to take for difficult repairs, and how to think like a professional technician.
