JOB DESCRIPTION
At Felix Media Solutions (FMS), senior site leads are responsible for day-to-day job-site activities and ensuring that the scope of work for assigned projects is completed according to the design documents. The senior site lead (security) works closely with the director of security sales, the general contractor and other trades to coordinate the installation of security systems. The senior site lead is a managerial position with subject-matter expertise and leadership abilities expected. The senior site lead (security) holds certifications and licensure, allowing this position to lead security systems installations and train junior team members who are pursuing licensure.
We offer a starting salary of $31-36/hour dependent upon experience with the potential to grow with the company. Professional development is supported and encouraged.

DUTIES
The senior site lead position is a progression on the FMS career ladder, and includes the responsibilities of the two positions before it: field technician and site lead. In addition, senior site leads:
• Communicate project status daily to subordinates, project managers, and other team members;
• Responsible for job site safety, JSA, and daily task forms;
• Participate in weekly jobsite foreman meetings (as needed);
• Participate in and lead the installation of security systems;
• Install and program new alarm, access control and camera systems in all commercial settings including warehouse, high-rise, and government buildings;
Program, configure, and troubleshoot video surveillance and access control platforms;
• Identify risk to customers and provide effective solutions;
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance on alarm and camera systems;
• Monitor inventory of service parts;
• Participate in AV and network installations as needed;
• Responsible for performing a quality control check of all installed materials;
• Supervise and mentor less senior employees; and
• Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Five years of work experience in the commercial security field;
• Three years of work experience as a service technician;
• Must possess a minimum of six months supervisory and/or managerial experience;
• Extensive experience with CCTV, access control, audio and other related systems;
• Extensive experience with network video recorder programming, networks and setting up servers;
• Extensive experience with Avigilon, Axis, Hanwa, and similar brands;
Extensive experience with Genetec, Lenel, Milestone, Brivo, and OpenPath;
• Extensive experience with hardwire and wireless systems in commercial settings;
• Extensive experience working with DSC, Honeywell, 2GIG, DMP, Alarm.com, and similar products;
• Experience with cloud solutions like Eagle Eye;
• Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalency;
• Valid and current security alarm installer license (TOPS);
• A valid Driver License is required as this position is sometimes required to drive a company vehicle to and from job sites;
• IPVM, ASSIS, NICET certifications preferred;
• Must possess an OSHA-30 certification or be willing to obtain one;

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
• English-language proficiency;

• Must be a Certified Technology Specialist (CTS);
• Expert knowledge of basic hand tools;
• Map and plan reading; and
• Leadership/mentorship capabilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
In order to perform the essential duties of this position, an employee must be able to:
• Lift up to 50 pounds;
• Climb ladders safely;
• Manipulate small hand tools;
• Work in ceilings and overhead spaces;
• Distinguish colors (in order to distinguish between colored wires for cable termination and safe wiring); and
• Read bill of materials, equipment installation instructions, and technical drawings;
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position supervises and instructs less senior members of the implementations team; 1-2 direct reports.
TRAVEL
Daily travel is largely limited to within the Central Texas area with occasional out-of-state travel. This is not an office job, and senior site leads may hop from project to project within our service area. Employees are reimbursed for mileage should they use personal vehicles to travel from the office to job sites.
