Today we pause to acknowledge the tragic loss of two Maine Department of Transportation workers.

While our work does not take place in bridge or roadway construction, we are part of the same construction community, and losses like this are felt across our industry. These men and women go to work each day to build, maintain, and improve the infrastructure that keeps our communities moving, often in high-risk environments.

Moments like this are a sobering reminder of why safety must always come first. No deadline, no schedule, and no project is more important than a person going home safely at the end of the day.

Our thoughts are with the families, coworkers, and loved ones affected by this loss. We remain committed to reinforcing a culture where safety is never optional, and where looking out for one another is a shared responsibility.

Everyone deserves to make it home.

Blane Casey Contractors is proud to partner with the City of Portland and Simons Architects on the new Kiwanis Pool—an investment in outdoor recreation and community connection.

The groundbreaking ceremony, held yesterday, was featured in the media and marks the first step in replacing the aging pool facility with a modern, accessible space for all.

Today we had the privilege of welcoming Senator Susan Collins to the future home of the Clinton Fire Station, a vital project that will serve the heart of this community for decades to come. It was an honor to walk the site with Senator Collins and share how this new station will support first responders and enhance public safety in Clinton.

A sincere thank you to Senator Collins for taking the time to visit and to the Town of Clinton for trusting Blane Casey Contractors with this important work. We’re looking forward to seeing this project continue to take shape!
