Manage the front office reception area to ensure effective telephone and mail communications both internally and externally to maintain professional image

Quote incoming customer needs relating to smaller structural and rebar orders

Manage orders from inventory selection/procurement to fabrication to pick up/delivery

Manage rebar inventory for non-prestress customers and keep Tekla up to date

Communicate with shop regarding scheduling of orders

Maintain reporting of quotes, orders, and invoicing

Update order and logistics schedule

Generate all pertinent paperwork for shop, customer, and accounting

Make collection calls for customers in this department as needed

• Purchase order entry for drop shipments and service items

QUALIFICATIONS

Responsible to act in accordance with the policies set forth in the Macuch Steel Employee Handbook. Direct, manage and coordinate trucking, warehouse, transportation and customer service activities. Lead and direct strategic planning for trucking.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
• Maintain distribution operations by initiating, coordinating and managing operational and personnel resources.
• Schedule materials leaving the facility using (3) company drivers and outside carriers as needed.
• Develop and maintain transportation system that ensures business needs are met
• Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles
• Oversee the fleet safety program for Macuch Steel Products and its affiliates
• Ensure Macuch Steel Products and its affiliates are in compliance with laws and regulations regarding transportation. Resolve any legal issues pertaining to transportation/distribution
• Participate in personnel development at all levels through performance management, providing opportunity for high performers
• Perform other related duties as required

Transport Structural Steel from place of origin to assigned destination.
