| Shoutout to Dr. J. Blake Boyett on completing his case with ExcelsiusGPS™ at Athens Limestone Hospital in Athens, AL.

The 50-year-old patient presented with spondylolisthesis at L4-L5 and L5-S1, along with degenerative disc disease and stenosis. Dr. Boyett performed a minimally invasive transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (MIS TLIF) from L4-S1 with adjacent segment revision from a prior L3-L4 interbody fusion.

Dr. Boyett used ExcelsiusGPS™ to plan and navigate the placement of Reline™ MAS screws and SABLE™ expandable interbody spacers.

Reflecting on the experience, Dr. Boyett shared, “The first screw placement was incredibly smooth. By the second screw, I felt confident in navigating a pedicle that would have been challenging to access otherwise. The system provided a level of accuracy and control that really stood out throughout the case.”

Congratulations to Dr. Devan Higginbotham of Sierra Pacific Orthopedics on completing his XLIF™ Prone Procedure.

The procedure, a prone lateral lumbar interbody fusion (LLIF) at L4–L5, utilized the ELSA™ expandable lateral spacer alongside Reline™ MAS reduction screws and rods, supported by the XLIF™ Prone Patient Positioning System and the MaXcess™ 4 access system.

Dr. Higginbotham commented, “In my recent L4–L5 lumbar fusion case, this single-position approach allowed excellent access, enabled lordosis restoration through the ELSA™ spacer’s adjustable expansion, and the desired reduction with the MAS screws – all while minimizing my repositioning and operative time. It truly represents an efficient, patient-friendly solution for lumbar interbody fusion.”

This milestone reflects a continued commitment to advancing innovative, patient-centered spine care for the Fresno community.

First of its kind in Europe!

Congratulations to Mr. Patrick McKenna, a consultant spinal surgeon at The London Clinic, on performing his prone eXtreme Lateral Interbody Fusion (XLIF™) case.

The case combined the use of the Prone Lateral Patient Positioning System, ExcelsiusGPS™ for planning and navigation, MaXcess™ 4 Access System, and NVM5™ neuromonitoring to support a complete procedural solution.

During the case, Mr. McKenna utilized the ExcelsiusGPS™ preoperative CT imaging workflow, integrating navigated disc preparation, navigated percutaneous screw placement with CREO MIS™, and navigated cage placement with the RISE™-L expandable interbody.

This milestone represents the first time this suite of technologies has been used together in a single operating room in Europe.

| We are proud to highlight Dr. Brandon Scott in Lexington, KY, for managing a highly complex upper extremity trauma case involving a comminuted distal humerus and proximal ulna fracture.

This case included significant trochlear and capitellar involvement, requiring an olecranon osteotomy to address the intra-articular injury. Dr. Scott utilized the ANTHEM™ Elbow Fracture System, including medial, flanged posterolateral, and minifix plates, to support stable fixation across a challenging fracture pattern.

Dr. Scott shared, “The ANTHEM™ Elbow Fracture System offers a versatile set of plate options and screw trajectories that are particularly useful for complex intra-articular distal humerus fractures. The anatomic plate design allows for reliable contouring and fixation of articular fragments while minimizing the need for intraoperative plate modification.”

We congratulate Dr. Scott and the University of Kentucky team for a case well done.
