Congratulations to one of our own, Megan Litzenberger, on graduating from the Leadership Cayuga Class of 2026! 👏

After 37 years with Beardsley, we would like to congratulate Mike Picciano on his retirement!

As an Electrical Engineer, Mike has been a trusted leader, mentor, teammate, and an essential part of the Beardsley family for nearly four decades. Beyond his professional contributions, he brought energy, humor, and camaraderie to countless memories, from office softball rivalries, Beardsley volleyball, chili and meatball cookoffs, and company golf tournaments, to movie premieres for Star Wars and Avengers, baseball outings, and even dominating Beardsley Fantasy Football as a 6-time champion.

We were proud to join SUNY ESF to critique Capstone presentations for Dr. Jenny Frank’s Sustainable Energy Management course focused on sustainable mechanical upgrades for the Wanakena Ranger School.

Beardsley previously completed a schematic report evaluating replacement options for the Ranger School’s aging fuel oil heating system.

In their Capstone projects, the students utilized this real-world data to evaluate the sustainability impacts of geothermal, propane, biodiesel, and biomass (wood-pellet) systems, comparing each option against baseline energy modeling. After the project, they made recommendations to administrators that balanced overall project cost with greenhouse gas and carbon footprint reduction.

We had a great time yesterday at the Adirondack Planning Forum at the beautiful Hotel Saranac!

Pictured here are two of our principals, Mike Goard, R.A., from our Albany office and Jared Heinl, P.E., R.L.A., from our Syracuse office, representing Beardsley and talking with people from across the region about their upcoming projects.

A little teamwork goes a long way 🌿💪

Some folks from Beardsley spent the morning pulling weeds, spreading mulch, and freshening up the landscape around the golf clubhouse for this year’s I Love My Park Day. We love having the opportunity to make the park more welcoming for everyone and help get the space ready for the busy season ahead.
