We are doing pump efficiency measurements by directly obtaining pump shaft torque and speed. The usual way of determining input power is by reading voltage and current from the motor, using power factor and efficiency from the motor, and calculating power. Using the strain gauge telemetry system allows us to accurately determine the true power being supplied to the pump.
