We wanted to take a minute to explain some changes happening at Thrive Lawn Care.
Over the last few weeks, we've gone through a pretty major staffing transition. We went from having a full crew to being down, let's just say, a not so full crew very quickly.
Honestly, it forced us to take a step back and look at the business differently.
We could immediately try to hire several people, rebuild the crew, and keep operating at the same scale. But we've realized that isn't the right move for us right now.
So for the next couple of years, we're intentionally choosing to slow down and operate at a smaller scale.
That means focusing on fewer jobs, doing them really well, taking care of the customers we already have, and building a stronger foundation behind the scenes.
This isn't us giving up on growth. Quite the opposite.
We absolutely still want to grow Thrive in the future. But when we do, we want to make sure we're growing with the right people, the right systems, and a team we can rely on.
We've spent the last few years trying to figure out how to make Thrive bigger. Now we're learning that sometimes the smartest way to grow is to slow down first.
Rather than rushing to rebuild a large crew just to maintain the size we've reached, we're going to take the time to build the foundation we need to eventually grow the right way.
We know some of you may have noticed changes in scheduling, availability, or the types of work we're taking on, so we wanted to be transparent about why.
Thrive is still here. We're still working. We're still taking care of our customers.
We're just entering a different chapter for a little while.
To everyone who's supported Thrive, recommended us to friends, left us reviews, trusted us with your property, or simply followed along with the journey — thank you. We genuinely mean that.
We're not stepping away from Thrive.
We're taking a step back so that, when we're ready to move forward again, we can do it the right way.
