When Josh Boardman of Wood River, Nebraska, decided to give a 2009 John Deere 1720 planter a major upgrade, he turned to SurePoint MVX electric meters and RFX hydraulic downforce.

After putting the system to work across around 900 acres of soybeans, Josh saw singulation consistently around 98.5% to 99.5% and was especially pleased with how RFX performed through dry planting conditions.

The upgrade builds on years of using SurePoint technology across his operation, including QuickDraw and liquid row monitoring. We appreciate Josh continuing to trust our technology and team and sharing his experience from the field.

📣 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲! We're seeking a junior or senior-level college student pursuing a degree in Agronomy, Precision Agriculture, Agriculture Technology, or Agriculture Systems Management (or related field) to join our team as a student intern. This internship provides hands-on experience with drone imagery, crop analysis, precision agriculture technologies, and planter performance evaluation.

Qualified applicants should have strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills and hold a valid driver's license. Prior experience with drones, GIS mapping, imagery analysis, and precision agriculture technology is preferred. This internship can accommodate remote work during the Spring 2027 semester (approximately 15 hours per week) but will be a full-time position May-August 2027, based at our Innovation Center near Kansas State University with up to 50% travel required within 250 miles of Manhattan, Kansas.
