Man, how does 30 years go by that quickly. Well, it seems that circumstances have been connecting Corporate Sound back to where it all started when I moved to Massachusetts in 1980. In those days we only supplied production for musical performers and have now come full circle working with a few acts such as an incredible Country, yes Country Band, called The Ghillies including Artie Eaton formerly with the 80's band Seducer and currently the front man for The Danny Klein Band ( No relation, the same spelling as my last name, but Danny and I actually know each other). It all started out in August when I personally mixed 28 bands in 4 days. A smile started to creep across my face. Let's Face it. Too many hours behind an office desk fries the creativity. I feel blessed that many of the new acquaintances i have made recogognize that I still have something left to give from behind the Mix Console. It seems the most frequent comment from musicians is "It's just incredible to to have great monitors." Well, as a musician,(Lead Guitar and vocals for the 70's hard rock show band BACK9), I can relate. My latest project is assembling a portable on stage digital in-ear monitor rig which will in some cases eliminate wedges on the stage and attempt to get the stage levels a little more under control so we can all work together to create a more pleasant experience for event planners and producers and ultimately the audience. Let's face it, some of the high paying smaller audience event locations are looking for a listening experience where they don't scream themselves hoarse trying to converse out in front of the band. Stay tuned for more news regarding The Ghillies and BACK 9.
