A look back at a Railquip project that brought a new solution to WMATA’s Shady Grove facility! 🛤️

WMATA needed to replace an aging drop table that had become costly to maintain. Rather than rebuilding the existing system, Railquip delivered a custom-designed drop table and manually operated turntable built to fit the facility’s existing equipment pit.

The new system was installed in a shorter time frame and incorporated upgraded safety features and automated monitoring to help improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
