We are a multi-disciplined design and services firm specializing in the definition and creation of built environments and identity functions.

FarringtonDesignGroup strives to incorporate the principles of sustainable design into every design project. The goal of this philosophy is to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Utilizing sustainable design principles encourages decisions at each phase of the design process to reduce negative impacts on the environment and

the health and comfort of the building occupants, without compromising the budget parameters. We employ the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System design criteria to help institute sustainable design into our projects. This process ensures that sustainable strategies are considered in each stage of development and serves as a means of evaluating our green building achievements. Our intention is to integrate these principles of sustainability as seamlessly as possible, and furthermore achieve the optimal balance of environmental, cost, productivity and human benefits. We use a team approach to organize and manage design projects. Each team member is carefully selected based on his or her experience, talents and abilities to best serve our client. Using our most senior professionals available, the project team is assigned at the outset and is responsible for seeing the project through completion. Happy Wednesday!

I am excited to announce that Anas El Hoor has joined our wonderful team of Architects as a Senior Interior Architect!

Anas has a Master of Science in Architectural Engineering from the University of Jordan and successfully completed a Bachelor of Scient if Architecture from Jordan University of Science and Technology.

He is highly experienced with 7 years of Senior Architectural experience and a combined 5 years of Design and Project Architectural experience.

Anas and his family recently relocated from the Michigan area to be a part of Atlanta's growing young professionals!

We want to thank him for joining Farrington Design Group and know he is going to be an integral part of our firm's continued success!

FarringtonDesignGroup welcomes two new employees to their offices in Atlanta, Georgia.

Larry Doyle joined the firm as a Project Manager. He is a licensed Architect with over 25 years of experience in architectural projects – He is accomplished in Design, Construction Documents, Permitting, and Construction Administration. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Maryland and Master of Architecture from Georgia Tech. He is a native of Chicago who brings significant experience that will be an integral part of our firm’s continued success.

Guillermo Sandoval Valdes joined our team recently. With ten years of experience, he began his career as an Intern Architect in Mexico. His undergraduate architectural degree was obtained in Mexico City and his Master of Science in Architecture in Milan, Italy. Guillermo has the ability to quickly render all aspects of the built environment.

Alcon was founded in 1945 in Fort Worth, Texas, USA. The company started as a small pharmacy in Fort Worth and was named for its founders, pharmacists Robert Alexander and William Conner. Alexander and Conner focused on sterile ophthalmic products. Currently we have a series of projects in process for their Johns Creek campus.

This image portrays the design of a chemistry lab that is currently being completed on the 4th floor of their JCA building. This lab provides focus areas for individuals working in the space as well as a venter island that allows for collaborative area that fosters collective thinking and creativity. The current thinking is that open-plan labs favor smaller spaces that include only five to eight benches.

Another growing and important trend, especially in R&D, is flexibility. Some newer labs are being designed with movable benches and even house services—such as gas, vacuum and air—delivered from articulated arms fixed to the ceiling so that as the benches move, so can these fixtures

We are excited to be assiting Alcon in Johns Creek, Georgia on multiple projects. Below are images of a current project that will combine the exsiting public lobby with the security check area. Upgrades include an Alcon Museum and Ipad check-in kiosks.

Last year during the development of the design and signage program, Fidelity Bank merged with Ameris Bank, a multi-bank holding company, last year during the development of the design and signage program. Ameris provides a broad range of retail and commercial banking services to its customers, including checking and savings deposits, commercial and consumer loans, trust services, discount brokerage services and electronic funds transfer services. Ameris Bancorp operates in Georgia, Florida, and Alabama. Our firm is an Ameris customer.

In the spring of 2019, we were engaged by Fidelity Bank to design their new 107,000 SF headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. Fidelity Bank merged with Ameris Bank, a multi-bank holding company, last year during the development of the design and signage program. Ameris provides a broad range of retail and commercial banking services to its customers, including checking and savings deposits, commercial and consumer loans, trust services, discount brokerage services and electronic funds transfer services. Ameris Bancorp operates in Georgia, Florida, and Alabama. Our firm is an Ameris customer.

In June 2020, we completed the first phase of the project. Shown below are two images from the floors in One Ameris Center which were as total gut and build back. The project is tracking for completion in late October 2020 and continues to be well under budget.

FarringtonDesignGroup welcomes three new employees to their offices in Atlanta, Georgia

Jeremy A. Sinckler joined the firm as a Project Manager. He is a licensed Architect with over 25 years of experience in full scope Architectural service - Design, Construction Documents, Permitting, and Construction Administration. He is a member of AIA and holds NCARB certification. With his experience he will be an integral part of the firm’s success.

Darlene Bora is our new Office Manager. Throughout the years, she has been an office manager for specialty construction companies in metro Atlanta as well as owning her own fence company. In her spare time, she is a riding instructor for Breezy Hill Stables and enjoys hiking and gardening.

LaQuel Edness joins our team recently and has begun her training as Project Manager. She began her career as an Intern Architect with Mancini Duffy in New York, NY, working on numerous interior architecture projects in the tri-state area. LaQuel received her LEED Accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council in 2009.

This is a night image of a recently completed commercial project in Atlanta, Georgia. The client is a American coffee company and coffeehouse chain that operates over 30,000 locations worldwide. The actual building is only 1,000 SF, but it appears much larger due to the extended roof canopy over the exterior seating.

To date we have provided design services for over 100 stores for this client.
