Even though Micah Jaynes did not know much about the wood industry more than 24 years ago when he joined Arxada, he couldn’t be happier with the career choice he made. “The first thing I learned about the industry was how important the relationships are,” explains Micah. “Even though there are competitors within the industry, everyone works together to further the use, pressure treated wood.”

Micah, Technical Key Account Service Manager for Arxada, started his career in the lab as a Pilot Plant Technician and then moved to working directly with our treater partners as a Tech Service Representative and Sales and Service Representative. Today, Micah visits customers mostly in Florida and Georgia and communicates with them regularly about orders and preservatives as well as troubleshooting plant issues. “What is great about our team is we collaborate all the time and work well together. We can get questions answered quickly for our treater partners by brainstorming solutions,” Micah says. Micah is responsible for managing and writing Arxada’s Wood Group technical documents such as treating manuals. He also helps customers with technical usage documents and teaches and trains either on site at a plant or during our annual Plant Operator’s Seminar.

When Micah is not with customers, he enjoys fishing, camping, gardening, and hiking. Micah is married with a son (11) and a daughter (8).

Josh Roth has more than 25 years of experience within the wood industry, about seven of which he has spent with Arxada as the Manager of Building Codes and Product Standards. Josh began his career working summer jobs for his dad, who was a general contractor. “The wood industry is in my blood and has been since I was sweeping roofs as a kid on my dad’s jobsites,” Josh says. He has been a state licensed general contractor for 20+ years as well as a private developer, Building Official and a Planning Director.

At Arxada, Josh answers technical questions about our products from architects, engineers, and specifiers; helps customers with technical problems; attends meetings for code development; helps design and develop ESRs for our products; and teaches contractor and architect courses. “I love this job, because I get work with like-minded industry people every day,” Josh says.
Josh is a member of the American Wood Protection Association and serves as a voting member of the ASTM E05 and ASTM D07 committees and participates with task forces for IRC and other code groups.

Josh’s free time is spent with his wife and two sons (20 and 13). He enjoys fishing, camping and playing golf where at different outings he was teamed up with PGA tour members John Daley, VJ Sing, and Jason Gore.

Feel free to reach out to Josh – [email protected].

John McMillan says the best part of his job is the people – collaborating with colleagues and meeting with customers. The 50-year veteran of the wood industry joined Arxada in December 2011 and brought with him a world of experience and know how that he shares with his Arxada team and his treater partners.

John is a Technical Sales Representative with Arxada and takes care of customers in the mid-Atlantic Region (including the Carolinas, West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland). During customer visits and calls, John provides assistance with sales, support, and technical issues and counts on the backing of the rest of the team. “We all have diverse backgrounds, so we work together to solve customer issues,” he explains. “We talk with each other for the benefit of our customers.”

While John loves his career, he also enjoys his free time – peaceful hours doing yard work and riding his motorcycle, a 2007 Harley Springer Classic. He also loves to travel and spend time with family and friends, including his adult son and daughter. Because John spends a lot of hours on the road visiting customers, he often combines travel with one of his favorite past-times – antiquing, stopping by some favorite antique stores along the way.

Feel free to reach out to John, [email protected].

Gary Kellum stepped onto the campus of Mississippi State University (MSU) and decided immediately that the forest products industry was where he needed to be. Gary began his career with the Southern Pine Inspection Bureau (SPIB), and after more than a quarter century as a field inspector and 10 years as part of the Treated Wood Division administration with SPIB, Gary joined Arxada in October 2017 as a Senior Technical Sales and Services Representative.

Gary supports Arxada customers in Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Tennessee and Kentucky. He communicates and works with customers daily regarding all things product and process related specific to their day-to-day operations.

Second only to working with customers, what he likes best about his job is the opportunity to work with the rest of the sales team as well as marketing, engineering, research and development, and quality control/lab, providing a valuable service package. “We all have a vested interest in the industry, and we all bring something different to the table,” he says. “It is truly a team effort.”
Gary is active within the industry, participating in the American Wood Protection Association (AWPA) – including committees T-7 (now the Chair) and T-2 (now the Vice Chair) – and the Southern Pressure Treater’s Association.

In his free time, Gary enjoys hunting and watching MSU Baseball. But, his greatest joy is spending time with his grandson. He is married with two grown children and one college-age son at the University of Alabama.

Francisco Fedullo, Export & US South Central Sales Manager for Arxada’s Wood Group, says meeting and working with colleagues and customers as well as visiting different places is the best part of his job. “Experiencing different places makes me want to understand the way people around the country and in other parts of the world live,” he explains. “That bit of immersion into someone else’s environment helps me know what I need to do to collaborate and help within the plants.”

Francisco, 18-year wood industry veteran, joined Arxada following his passion for chemistry and forestry. Today, he uses the knowledge he has gained over the years as he travels the South Central US – Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma – as well as Latin America and some areas of South America to work directly with customers. He aids treater partners with placing orders, coordinating export shipments, calibrating/troubleshooting instruments, training, and servicing through technical support.

In his free time, Francisco travels with his family and especially enjoys international locations in Europe and South America. When he’s at home he loves to cook – especially Italian – for his wife and two daughters (18 and 13). Francisco is a soccer enthusiast. The sport is in his blood as both his grandfather (for Italy in the 1930s) and his dad (semi-pro in Uruguay) played professionally. He likes home improvement projects and coaches youth soccer.

Feel free to reach out to Francisco – [email protected].

When Dany McNicoll came to Arxada nearly 7 years ago, he brought with him 18 years of Instrumentation experience. Since joining Arxada he has served as Technical Resources Manager – Canada, a position that takes him all over the country from the most metropolitan to very remote locations. “I enjoy visiting customers and solving technical challenges,” Dany says. “I try to treat customers how I would like to be treated,” Dany says.

Dany assists customers in improving their processes, meeting their annual TRD requirements by providing on-site air monitoring, cylinder pressure calibrations, and supporting their QC requirements. He frequently works along-side Arxada’s North American engineering team, and he supports sales with scheduling orders and invoicing support functions.

Dany is actively involved with industry associations and has previously served six terms as a chapter chair and remains as a committee member of OACETT (Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists) Hamilton chapter.

Dany’s ambitions have not always been in manufacturing or in wood treatment, however. In his youth, he considered a career as a professional musician or music professor. Today, when he isn’t working, he enjoys camping, walking his dog, and listening to many kinds of music. He also spends time with his wife and two nearly grown sons.

Feel free to reach out to Dany if you have any questions or technical issues – [email protected]

Chris is involved with various industry associations including the North American Wholesale Lumber Association (NAWLA) and the World Millwork Alliance (WMA).

When Chris is not working, his free time is almost entirely consumed by his young, active family (his wife and children – one daughter and two sons). Charles Walker has led an interesting life that began in his native country of Liberia and includes surviving the Liberian Civil War. After the war, Charles immigrated to the United States and served in the US Army for eight years before joining Arxada. That was 19 years ago when he put his love of science to good use as a researcher and technician in Arxada’s Conley, Georgia, Technical Center Laboratory and Pilot Plant.

Today, Charles’ title is Technical Service Representative. He not only continues his research duties, but he also extends his knowledge to treaters in the Southeast, including Florida, South Georgia, and South Alabama. “I’m new to the customers,” Charles explains, “but not new to the job. And, I really enjoy getting to know our customers and helping them within their plants.”

In his free time, Charles likes cooking and trying out new recipes including traditional African dishes and recipes from different parts of world as well as grilling and smoking meats. Charles also enjoys travel, golf, and spending time with his wife and 11-year-old son.
