Sometimes it's the smaller repairs that make a big difference.

This Bruno vehicle lift had a strap that was badly frayed in two places and needed replacing.

Johnny got to work replacing the worn strap so the lift could continue doing its job — helping make transporting mobility equipment easier.

It's a good reminder to periodically check the straps and other visible components on your vehicle lift for signs of wear.

Wheelchair or transport chair? They may look similar, but they're designed for different needs.

The biggest difference is who will be doing the pushing.

A manual wheelchair has large rear wheels with hand rims, allowing many users to propel themselves. It can also be pushed by a caregiver when assistance is needed.

A transport chair has smaller wheels and is designed to be pushed by a caregiver. Transport chairs are generally lighter and more compact, making them especially convenient for appointments, outings and travel.

So which one should you choose? Think about who will be using the chair, whether independent mobility is important, how long it will typically be used at a time, and how often you'll need to load it into a vehicle.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Medicare 2027 Update Open House!
We had a great turnout and enjoyed spending the morning learning about the upcoming Medicare changes, important enrollment dates, common enrollment mistakes, and how Medicare relates to mobility equipment and DME.
A big thank you to Leigh Cantrell for sharing her knowledge and answering so many great questions — and to everyone who came out to learn, connect, and spend the morning with us!

Sometimes troubleshooting calls for a little head-to-head testing. 🏁

A customer's scooter came into our repair department because it wasn't performing with the power or speed it should.

To help diagnose the problem, Johnny suggested comparing the customer's scooter against a brand-new unit of the same model.

Bill agreed to help.

What Johnny apparently failed to specify was that this was supposed to be a comparison test and not the Mobility Scooters and More Grand Prix.

The test did its job, though. After further troubleshooting, the problem was traced to a bad battery box that wasn't properly pulling power from the batteries, preventing the scooter from performing as it should.

It's a good reminder that when a scooter isn't running properly, the batteries themselves aren't necessarily the problem.

Meet Mayhem Chicken.

We should probably explain.

It started when Johnny hid this little guy somewhere for someone else to find. Naturally, that meant he had to be hidden again.

And again.

Somewhere along the way, he acquired eyebrows, a tool and a name.

Now Mayhem Chicken regularly turns up in unexpected places around Mobility Scooters and More — and apparently no drawer, refrigerator or ceiling is safe.

We figured it was time you met him.

A simple rule of thumb:

Use your mobility device every day?
Charge it overnight and unplug in the morning.

Only use it occasionally?
Charge the battery at least once a week, even if you haven't been using the device regularly.

There’s more to a new scooter than taking it out of the box.

When a scooter arrives at our showroom, our team assembles it and checks it over before it goes home with the customer.

Here’s Bill getting a customer’s new scooter ready. We’ll make sure everything is there, check for any damage or issues from shipping, and test it before it leaves our showroom.

And if getting it home is a challenge, delivery may be available too.

It’s one more way we try to make getting the right mobility equipment a little easier.
