This is definitely one of those jobs that actually proves that I know what the hell I'm doing for all the years that I've been working with metal. When you can take a tailgate off a 1940 Chevy pickup that's all. One piece with wrap around ends and return bends and then the flats on the return bins are spot welded back to the main face on the tailgate all in one piece not multiples and you cut it with two pieces of metal and there ain't no redos and you make it one shot and you make it happen and this is the result. When I text the customer tonight sending pictures he about s*** himself blown away that I could even get something close to what? Replicated a 1940s tailgate. This is a customer I've known for years and have did a lot of work for all. I told him was get the parts up and I'll get them knocked out Tuesday Wednesday of this week and here I am ready to go and keeping the project going. Anybody can throw a piece in the break and make an angle or weld something together. But when you take and make a hand weld it up die. Draw some stuff on the computer, cut it out and make it in one shot. That's the impressive part and there's not that many people that can do that in the industry anymore. So if you're one of those guys that needs old car parts made, I'm definitely that guy I can make about whatever you can think of on top of soon. Be making door skins with the light 16 gauge by 72-in plate roll that I got in last week on top of the 42-in deep er roll machine with every die that you could get for the machine for window. Offsets radius edges overbend hem dies so I'm pretty set up to do about anything you can think of from light to heavy gauge metal. So hit me up if you got any questions or something custom one off you're doing cuz I can pretty well make everything.

Last 3 days working on the house have been huge. Me and Jamie been knocking out all the big stuff and we're finally down to the last 14 ft of the house. Seven more monster 46-ft trusses have to be put up and one more big Gable end and we'll have all the trusses finally put up other than the overbuilds in a few spots. Very impressed it's all coming together. Everything's nice and straight. Finally can see what the living room 17 ft scissor trusses look like. Definitely very large. After building the 50x100 shop in 20 and 21 and then moving on to this monster project pretty much nothing. I can't build or envision. Very little in my life. Have I ever said no to something. This is what they call sweat equity and the amount that we have into this versus what it's going to be worth is mind-blowing when it's all going to be said and done. Yep, it's taking some time but what it's going to be and look like at the end and value that it's going to have versus the alternative spending millions and getting garbage in return. I'll go this route all day long. Few more weeks everything should be sheeted and overbuilds put on and a couple more pop outs on the front deck. I'll get everything posted yet again to see what the final products going to look like before doing fascia and siding and windows. As they say when you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything well. This is point proven. You can't accomplish anything if you set your mind to it LOL.

Thursday started out with a bunch of phone calls and emergency work for Monday and I knocked out another pile of angle for Haskins for more Amazon parts like I've did a million times. Got back on the house. Trust us today. Tied in the master bedroom to the double ply truss got all the hangers put on from the scissor truss to the double ply and then I got to load up the big dog. The 14 wide 46 ft long gang of trusses with the mighty telehandler. Definitely badass way to put a roof on. Took roughly 10 minutes to get it in place and put it on the roof and tied it in.

Wednesday morning was a few emergency jobs. First one knocked out a bunch of 12 gauge hot roll to a whole bunch of miscellaneous formed panels for a fireplace rock install for Montana for Tim simas. And another small Rush emergency angle job to go with all the stuff I did last week to keep the rock guys going in Coeur d'Alene.
