The Boys & Girls Clubs of North Alabama is growing and investing in the future with the new Johnston Family Teen Center at the James A Lane Club campus in Huntsville! This new teen center is approximately 7,000 square feet and will feature workforce readiness classrooms, college and career preparation resources, multi-purpose auditorium, concession kitchen, and a STEM lab exclusively for teens.

The mission of the club is "to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens." This new facility, along with the people who invest their time, help support this mission.

Morell Engineering provided the surveying and civil site design for this project.

Onward ever! Congratulations to Athens State University on the completion of the Brown Hall renovations project.

Constructed in the early 1900s, Brown Hall is named for Florence Brown, an instructor who cared for students affected by the 1909 campus typhoid epidemic. Over its history, Brown Hall has served as a women's residence hall, the president's residence, and faculty office space. This renovation beautifully connects the past and the bright future of Athens State.

Morell Engineering provided the Construction Materials Testing for this renovation.

Strong communities start with strong foundations, which includes investing in the next generation. Our engineers had the privilege of stepping into classrooms this week to share their careers, answer questions, and inspire the next generation of engineers.

Today was an excellent day for a groundbreaking ceremony!🪏

Congratulations to The Hall Group on the groundbreaking for The Grove at South Jefferson, a 120-unit multi-family residential community in Athens, Alabama. It was a pleasure listening to Greg Reed, Secretary of the Alabama Department of Workforce, speak on the impact this project will have on our community by providing workforce housing options.

Morell Engineering is proud to help this project succeed by providing master planning, construction materials testing (CMT) services, and construction layout services.
