Is your oil change facility greasing your front end?

This 6.7 came in with both front axle universal joints flopping. Also took out the vacuum seals and one of the hub locks.

Lead-acid batteries release small amounts of hydrogen gas and sulfuric acid v***r during regular charging and discharging cycles. When these gases escape near the plastic-to-metal post seals and meet oxygen and moisture in the air, they form corrosive crystals on the top and terminals.

This creates a conductive bridge that allows a tiny current to flow across the top of the battery, slowly draining its charge even when the truck is off.

I normally pressure wash them clean when servicing customers vehicles. You can also spray the terminals and the top of the battery with purple power and rinse.

Cold weather is around the corner. Does your 6.7 Powerstroke still have orange coolant? If so it’s time for a flush and to replace it with Ford Yellow coolant.

Many 2011-2016 owners have noticed a “check coolant additive” message. With orange coolant ford recommends testing coolant with Acustrip test strips. This was to test the ph level and nitrite inhibitor levels. Generally set in the cluster based off engine hours or mileage.

Ford discontinued the use of Orange coolant due to its failure if not serviced correctly. Its organic rust inhibitors break down. If tap water was used instead of distilled water, the mineral trash converts the degraded coolant into a highly conductive electrolyte. Once it degrades or loses its reserve alkalinity, the boiling point drops. This drop increases v***r bubble formation, leaving the bare metal completely exposed to cavitation erosion. If tested the coolant is actually carrying electrical current.

Motorcraft yellow is a P-OAT formula. It relies on carboxylates and phosphates for corrosion protection rather than sodium nitrite. It can be ran in a 6.7, 6.4, 6.0, and 7.3’s.

The primary system usually holds three gallons of VC-13-G (Yellow) with three gallons of distilled water and the secondary gets one gallon of Yellow with one gallon of distilled water.
