Today is National Skilled Trades Day — and it's one we celebrate wholeheartedly at Wood Equipment Company.
For over 80 years, our work has been built on the expertise of skilled tradespeople: factory-certified technicians, experienced service professionals, and the dedicated individuals who keep pumps, drives, and industrial systems running across Virginia and Maryland.
This year, we had the privilege of supporting that tradition by hosting Bryson Marshall — a New Kent High School senior in an HVAC program — through our partnership with Bridging Communities. Bryson brought the kind of work ethic, curiosity, and drive that the trades need more of. He spent time working alongside our team and is working toward OSHA 10 and EPA Universal certifications that will serve him throughout his career.
That's what this day is really about: not just celebrating the people already doing the work, but investing in the next generation who will carry it forward.
To every technician, tradesperson, and skilled professional in our network — thank you. What you do matters more than words can say. If you're a skilled professional who takes pride in your craft and wants to be part of a team that's been doing this for over 80 years, we'd love to hear from you!
