User-Centered Design will be participating again this year at the University of Maryland HCIL Open House. Founded 1983 by Ben Shneiderman, the HCIL is jointly supported by the College of Information Studies (iSchool) and the University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies (UMIACS).
This is the 34th year of the Open House and UCD has been involved in the last 18 of them. Bill Killam will be presented a full day workshop on usability testing. For more information, visit http://hcil.umd.edu/events/event/hcil-annual-symposium/
The HCIL has a long, rich history of transforming the experience people have with new technologies. From understanding user needs, to developing and evaluating these technologies, the lab's faculty, staff, and students have been leading the way in HCI research and teaching.
