Students in the agriculture program at Lima Senior High School are certainly reaping what they sow. In its second year, the program’s annual plant sale is hosted at the Spartan Farm Greenhouse, where students spend the school year cultivating a variety of flower baskets and plants. The greenhouse includes Wadsworth’s Seed controller, weather station, and Sphere software. Proceeds from the sale will go back into the program to support future projects and improvements.

We recently completed commissioning a new Seed system at Texas State University in San Marcos. The system was installed in the Biology Department research greenhouses and will support a variety of plant health research studies.
These greenhouses also feature a custom-designed Wadsworth shade system to improve shading and heat retention. While on site, our team reviewed the operation of the VersiSTEP control systems and provided training for new professors on greenhouse control operation.

As we face another dry season, one of the best things Coloradans can do is plant for the place we call home. That means choosing Colorado native plants, drought-tolerant flowers, and water-wise landscaping that can handle our heat, support pollinators, and keep our yards beautiful without wasting one of our most precious resources: water.

Colorado is also taking action statewide. I activated the state’s Drought Task Force and Phase 2 of Colorado’s Drought Response Plan to help track conditions, support communities, and coordinate resources where they are needed most. Whether it’s a backyard garden, a schoolyard, a park, or a neighborhood median, every water-wise choice adds up. By planting native, watering wisely, and planning ahead, we can protect Colorado’s water, support our farmers and ranchers, and keep our state beautiful for generations to come.

Colorado grows best when we grow wisely.🌱💧

The team at this private greenhouse research facility is excited to upgrade their original Seed V1 control system to the new Seed V2 platform. The new Seed V2 offers faster performance, expanded features, remote access, alarms & alerts, and even better graphing tools to help monitor and fine-tune growing environments with ease.
If you currently have one of our original Seed systems, now is a great time to explore the benefits of upgrading. Reach out to us today for a FREE quote and see what Seed V2 can do for your facility.

The University of Kentucky Research and Education Center at Princeton features six brand-new Stuppy greenhouses—all controlled by the Wadsworth Seed control system. The Seed system provides full control of all six independent zones, including Wadsworth automatic shade and heat-retention curtains, as well as the corridor used for inlet air.

Each zone is equipped with standard greenhouse evaporative cooling and variable-speed exhaust fans, allowing precise fine-tuning of environmental conditions to meet the researchers’ specific needs. The system also modulates LED grow lights to maintain targeted PAR light levels.

All system data can be seamlessly shared with the main campus through BACnet integration.

Ilera Holistic Healthcare has been so happy with their products from building one that they used the same top companies again to build number two. Wadsworth is always happy to partner with DRAMM, Biotherm, and HE Anderson Injectors. It's nice to play well with others.
