Nobody budgets for a surprise repair bill.

You send in a Doppler for service, expecting it to come back fixed. What you don't expect is a diagnostic fee before they've touched it, a list of parts not covered, and a final invoice that looks nothing like what you were told.

It happens. A lot. And it's frustrating every time.

Newman Medical built the DigiDop warranty to be the thing you actually read and actually believe. 5 years. All parts and all labor covered. No diagnostic fees. No hidden charges. No paperwork maze. You send it in, it comes back repaired, and nothing shows up on a bill that wasn't supposed to be there.

That's what a warranty should be. Newman Medical just makes sure it actually is.

Ask most clinicians what a vascular Doppler is used for and they will say ABI testing or PAD screening.

They are not wrong. But they are only seeing a fraction of the picture.

A vascular Doppler is one of the most versatile diagnostic tools in medicine. The same device that screens for peripheral artery disease in your primary care office is also:

• Locating a vein before a difficult IV or arterial line placement.
• Checking blood flow to a replanted finger after microsurgery.
• Monitoring a dialysis patient's AV fistula for signs of stenosis.
• Assessing wound perfusion to determine whether a chronic ulcer has the blood supply to heal.
• Confirming circulation in a swollen, painful limb when DVT is on the differential.
• Evaluating perfusion in a trauma patient when there is no time to wait for imaging.

That is one device. Across cardiology, wound care, nephrology, surgery, and emergency medicine.

The key is having a Doppler that is built for clinical reality — reliable frequency options that match vessel depth, probes that position consistently, and a system your team can pick up and use without a learning curve.

Newman Medical's vascular Dopplers come with interchangeable 5 MHz and 8 MHz pencil probes, plus the SteadyDop probe in both frequencies for high-volume, consistent screening.

Whatever your specialty. Whatever the patient in front of you. There is likely a Doppler application for it.

Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) affects millions of people, yet it often progresses silently without a single symptom until severe leg pain or tissue damage occurs. By then, the stakes are dangerously high.

It does not have to reach that point. A simple, 15-minute outpatient procedure called the Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) test can detect PAD early.

Using standard blood pressure cuffs on the arms and ankles, this painless test provides immediate insights into your vascular health. For healthcare providers, it is an essential tool for early intervention. For patients, it is the preventive check that can safeguard your mobility and future health.

Whether you are a clinician looking to enhance patient care or an individual prioritizing your vascular wellness, understanding this diagnostic tool is vital.

8.5 million Americans are living with Peripheral Artery Disease. A significant number of them will walk through a primary care office this year without getting diagnosed.

Not because their provider isn't paying attention. Because the tools designed for vascular screening weren't designed for how primary care actually runs.

Inconsistent Doppler readings. Unstable probe positioning. A learning curve that slows everyone down. These aren't minor inconveniences - they're the reason early PAD gets missed.

The SteadyDop Vascular Doppler Probe from Newman Medical changes that. Designed with a familiar stethoscope grip, a precision-angled sensor, and plug-and-play compatibility with existing Newman Medical systems, it gives primary care teams a reliable way to screen for PAD without disrupting workflow.

Early detection means earlier intervention. And earlier intervention changes outcomes.

Living with Peripheral Artery Disease means every daily choice matters, especially the food on a patient's plate.

While diagnostic testing and medical treatments are foundational, nutrition plays a powerful role in protecting arteries from further damage. The right foods can actively reduce inflammation and help maintain better circulation.

Research highlights six food categories that offer significant support for vascular health:

• Fruits and vegetables packed with vital antioxidants
• Whole grains, nuts, and seeds to help manage cholesterol
• Fatty fish rich in omega-3 fatty acids to reduce inflammation
• Olive oil and a small amount of dark chocolate to support blood vessel elasticity

These dietary choices do more than provide flavor. They serve as a daily, proactive defense for a patient's circulatory system.

Explore our comprehensive guide to share these practical dietary strategies with your patients.

Here's something that doesn't get talked about enough in primary care.

A diabetic patient comes in. You run an ABI. The numbers look fine. You move on.

But in patients with calcified arteries, that normal result can be completely misleading. Calcified vessels don't compress the way they should, so pressure readings come back falsely elevated. PAD that's already developing goes undetected. And the patient leaves without the follow-up they actually need.

It's one of the most common diagnostic blind spots in vascular assessment for diabetic and elderly patients, and it's built into the limitations of standard Doppler-based testing.

ABI-Q was designed specifically for this problem. Instead of depending on vessel compression, it measures pulse volume changes in the limb. Calcification doesn't affect that signal. The result is a reliable PAD assessment for the patients your current exam can't accurately evaluate.

It's integrated into both the simpleABI-Q and the automated Cuff-Link systems, so there's no new hardware to learn and no disruption to how your team already works.

Some patients need a different kind of test. Now there's one built for them.

Here's something nobody talks about enough: the hidden cost of a bad warranty.

Your equipment goes down. You call the number on the paperwork. Suddenly there's a diagnostic fee just to look at the problem. Then a labor charge. Then a part that apparently wasn't covered. You're three weeks in, your clinic is short a critical tool, and the bill keeps growing.

That's the fine print trap. And it's more common than it should be in this industry.

Newman Medical warranties work the opposite way. Every DigiDop and every simpleABI system is covered completely and honestly, all parts, all labor, zero fees from start to finish. We don't charge you to diagnose the problem. We don't send you a bill after the repair. We get your equipment back to you fast because we understand that a sitting workstation isn't just a cost on a spreadsheet. It's a patient who didn't get the test they needed.

No games. No surprises. Just coverage that actually means something when you need it most.

PAD affects over 8.5 million Americans, yet many primary care providers struggle with the tools available for screening.

We often hear from clinicians who are frustrated by probes that lose the signal the moment a patient moves. It creates a stressful environment for the patient and an inefficient workflow for the medical assistant.

The SteadyDop Vascular Probe changes that dynamic. It features a revolutionary grip modeled after a stethoscope. This design makes the probe naturally stable and easy to use from the first day. Combined with wider sensors, it tracks arterial pulses quickly and accurately.

To help more practices offer reliable vascular testing, we have a new promotion: Receive a FREE SteadyDop probe with every new purchase of a Doppler-based ABI system.

Give your patients the thorough vascular assessment they deserve without the technical struggle.

Every year, 150,000 Americans lose a limb to Peripheral Artery Disease.

Many of them had no idea they were at risk until the pain became impossible to ignore. And by that point, there often wasn't much time left to save the limb.

Researchers at Northeastern University's Roux Institute just published findings that could change that reality. They've identified 38 genetic variants linked to a higher risk of amputation in PAD patients, opening the door to something that hasn't existed before in vascular care: the ability to find high-risk patients before the crisis hits.

Professor Saeed Amal described it simply: "This is powerful because you won't have to wait for symptoms."

That sentence matters. Because waiting for symptoms is exactly what the current system does. And 150,000 amputations a year is what that approach costs us.

The path forward is early detection. Structured screening. Getting patients identified and into care while intervention can still make a difference.

If you're a clinician or practice administrator thinking about what proactive PAD screening looks like in your setting, this research is worth your attention.

If this research moved you, the next step is simple. simpleABI testing systems are built for primary care practices ready to make early detection part of their standard of care. Find the right fit for your practice: https://bit.ly/49Zx7eA
