🔍 **Did You Know? Not All Fingerprints Are Collected the Same Way!**

When we think about fingerprint evidence, we often picture an investigator dusting for prints at a crime scene.

But forensic professionals actually work with several types of fingerprint records, including two important categories:

👆 **Latent Prints:** Fingerprints left unintentionally on objects or surfaces. They can be difficult to see and may require special techniques to recover and examine.

🖐️ **Tenprints:** A complete set of fingerprints collected intentionally from all ten fingers, often using a digital scanner.

So what's the connection?

Forensic examiners may compare a latent print recovered from evidence against known fingerprint records to help determine whether they came from the same person.
