Your local Napa wants to send out a friendly reminder about farm safety as this harvest season begins. 🌾

Safety Today, Success Tomorrow 👉🏼 choices we make today help keep our roads, farms and communities safer tomorrow. Harvest season means more activity on rural roads, so let’s share the road and share the responsibility.

🌽 Tall corn. Limited view.
Corn can hide oncoming traffic at rural intersections. Slow down, look twice and make sure the way is clear before moving through.

🚜 Share the road. Make space.
Farm equipment is big, slow-moving and has blind spots. Look for flashing lights and slow-moving signs. Give operators plenty of room, stay back and only pass when it’s legal and safe.

🔺 Farmers remember to make sure your lights and flashers are on. Make sure your SMV signs are visible.

⚠️ Grain safety. Air quality, moving grain and equipment can create dangerous conditions quickly. Before working in or around a confined space, think before you act. Recognize the risks, follow proper safety procedures and never take shortcuts.

🛠️ Maintenance safety and repairs. Shut it down. Do it right.
