Here is a sneak peak at the project we are working on with the laser. Modular bolt together shelving for work vans and trailers. Primarily the shelves are made to work with the milwaukeetool packout system but we will have shelf options for other tools and parts as well. Selves can be static or have drawer slides.

We do t work on boats a ton, but being able to weld aluminum makes us well suited to repairs and additions to them. This is a customers brand new boat he got at the boat show and needed some down-rigger mounts and oar pockets. We also made him a battery disconnect switch holder. All of it cut on the new shopsabre fiber laser.

I’m a little late on the post but we have a new machine in the shop. We ordered a 5x10 shopsabre fibersaber 2k laser cutting system. It was delivered at the beginning of February and we have been getting to know it over the last month. We look forward to developing more products and taking advantage of the increased cutting capacity and precision. Stay tuned for more of what we are cutting on this bad boy!

There are just a few of the industrial doors we install. Loading dock sectionals, giant bug screen doors, steel coiling doors and vinyl high speed doors. Each has their place but my favorite are the high speed doors. It’s awesome to see a door that big move so fast!

I had a customer with a 6500 Kodiak and he wanted to switch to an Isuzu for better maneuverability. I removed the hook lift system from his old truck and installed on he new one. It required adding a PTO system and special wiring to use the factory PTO controller. We also made a custom bumper and fuel filler neck.

Once again it’s been a long time since posting last. Over the last two years Element 74 shifted its primary focus from job shop machining and welding to commercial loading dock equipment and door installation. We are a subcontractor for a large national manufacturer and have been blessed and growing beyond what I could have ever thought. It is amazing how often life has different plans for you than you lay out in your mind. For me every time God directs my path and leads me somewhere I would have never guessed it always turns out better that I could have done it myself. This Thanksgiving I am incredibly grateful for the Lords blessings in my life both work and family related. I will be trying to post more here in the future as there are several more shop updates and exciting new things coming for next year. Have a great day today and love your people!

I haven’t posted in almost a year! I started doing commercial loading dock equipment install work and the company I sub for doesn’t let their subs post pictures. It has kept me super busy all year and I haven’t had much of a chance to even think about taking on fabrication work. I am trying to incorporate some fun projects back in and post up the results. This is a headache rack I modified to add the light mounts and jack mount. Turned out so well the customer had me do the same thing to a second one as well.

Saturday I was able to get the cnc router installed for the customer. I’m so happy to have the project completed and installed! It started in May and had its share of delays, design changes and challenges but it’s in and powered on. I will now start training the crew to use it and helping build their work flow to help them maximize productivity with it.

Finished up this railroad tie fence post socket. This will get zinc galvanized and poured into a concrete fixture. That way when needed they can pull the post out and increase the access to their property for large trucks. Also made them a cover so stuff won’t fall in when the post is out.
