🌍From the Field: "You don’t expect the words “car crash” and “hearing test” to ever appear in the same sentence. But recently… they did.

One of the things I appreciate most about working in audiology is that it’s a safe, non‑emergent field. We help people improve their quality of life every day, and true emergencies are thankfully rare.

Then the unexpected happened.

During a routine hearing test, a vehicle crashed into one of our customer’s sound booths (yes, a car). The good news: everyone was okay. The challenge: the booth was heavily damaged, and the clinic needed a fast solution to avoid extended downtime, patient delays, and lost revenue.

What could have turned into months of disruption became a rapid recovery thanks to incredible teamwork.

• The damaged booth was cleared out within 10 days
• A brand‑new booth was installed just one week later
• The clinic was back to serving patients far sooner than expected

Huge credit goes to our local e3 Diagnostics sound booth team and to Eckel Noise Control Technologies for having pre‑fabricated, ready‑to‑ship booth options available. Their responsiveness, coordination, and partnership made all the difference.

Moments like this are a reminder that even in industries where emergencies are uncommon, preparation, strong partnerships, and fast action truly matter.
