The store will be closed early this Thursday the 20th
I will also not be at the store for 1 week.
That's right! I'm going on "vacation "
Which also means I'm unavailable for metal quotes or orders. Leith and Darin will be helping me out so please be kind as you all are.
On one of my trips I showed you hardware store stuff. I can try and do that again. I'll be in Durango, Mexico state capitol. So perhaps I can share hardware related things with you. Let me know what you think.
My goal is to have the store stocked before I go. If only the warehouse could also pack my suitcases. But then they would pack a pair of socks in one big box and cram a bunch of stuff in another,shrink wrap it and send the rest at a later date. So maybe not then😅.

Is it morning? Yes! Is it good? I hope so. Is it gonna be hot? Most likely. Regardless of what today throws or toses at you maybe even t- shirt cannon shoots at you. I hope you have a reasonably decent day.
Also thank you to everyone who waves at the store when you drive by. That has got to be the sweetest thing I have the pleasure to see.

Today's the first day of school !!!
I hope your kids have a great school year 😄 🎊.
Will there be bad days? Absolutely! It's like working on a home project where you go in it with motivation, clean clothes, fun snacks and somewhere along the way you end up breaking something, You Tube doesn't seem to be helping and you don't have all the parts you need to finish the job. 🤔 What I'm trying to say is, if you know the feeling of trying to work on something new that you haven't encountered before, give your little ones some patience and guidance. They are about to encounter new situations and their brains are going to be processing a lot of new information.
So go to the Arivaca Mercantile and buy some fun snacks and enjoy the conversations you'll have this year about what they have learned.
I'm here for you if you need some items to help you finish that project you were supposed to do this summer. Procrastination is the destroyer of motivation. I'll tell you all about that later.
So that's my unsolicited advice. Please stay hydrated and have a great day.

The 4th of July is this weekend on the first Saturday of the month. Needless to say, it's going to be a busy weekend.
I'm assuming it'll be filled with shenanigans, putting the boat on the water and having a few drinks with your friends and family. Celebration and recognition. Regardless of how you choose to spend your 4th of July ,I hope it's a good weekend.
The hardware store will be closed on the 4th.
So if you need a new flag you have until Friday to get one.
If you choose to set fireworks please be careful and don't forget it's fire season. We do have fire extinguishers in stock so if your shenanigans schedule includes a form of fire. Again, get your safety product by Friday.
And if you wake up in the back of your truck the next day surrounded by various empty Twinky packages, cans, bottles and a raccoon with war paint on its face in the front seat of your truck holding a half smoked cigar and someone's boot. The Arivaca Mercantile is open on Sunday. I'm sure they have headache medicine, coffee and Gatorade.

Good morning 🌞
As some of you may have noticed, I have a variety of signs. There's an OPEN sign, I am aware I forget to turn at times. I have one at the front counter that tells you where I may be or when I'll be back. No specific time given, just 'in a moment ' 😆. Just know I will return. As well as funny signs to hopefully make you smile. Well, I have a new sign.
If you see that I'm not up front and I have the sign that says ' I'm in the back'. There is a COW BELL next to the back door. Please RING that BELL. It's difficult to hear the front door chime when I'm working in the back. So I needed a little assistant. Simply ring the bell.
Please don't be embarrassed to do so. It's easier than looking for me 😁. Thanks for your help.

*Side note. Ring bell, but let's not go crazy and make it sound like your calling the cows in for dinner 😆.

I asked Alexa to play cheerful music. Man that girl must be going through some tough times cause the music she chose was not cheerful. I asked her what the heck she was playing and her response was to suggest another station. Um. Alexa. Are you ok? Cause her suggestion turned out to be a very melancholy mix. Im a 90s kid and my version of cheerful must be way outdated 😆. But regardless 😁 I always try to have a good playlist going on here at the hardware store. Where the mood may not always be 100% cheerful but it won't be Alexa melancholy cheerful 😬.
