The Import Buyer/ Planner is responsible for and executes the sourcing and inventory planning process for Arrow Tru-Line’s imported products and components. The Buyer/Planner monitors raw material and any relevant commodity markets in sourced countries and develops appropriate strategies. Manages and coordinates appropriate flow of goods between product inventory, demand, and procurement of finished components from approved import sources.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
• Five years’ or more of related experience
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred
• Sourcing and procurement experience (import experience preferred) with metal formed/manufactured goods
• NDS or equivalent MRP system experience required
• Experience utilizing LEAN tools to drive improvements

SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Strong attention to detail and Excellent organizational skills required
• Strong computer skills including knowledge of MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint) and typical MRP/ ERP systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong leadership skills and ability to communicate concisely at all levels inside and outside the company
• Demonstrated successful materials and supply chain experience
• Knowledge and experience working with overseas freight carriers or freight forwarders.
• Self-motivated individual with intense drive to exceed expectations
• Action oriented with proven track record of achieving business goals
• Strategic thinker: uses creative and innovative problem-solving approach to achieve Key Success Factors
• High personal and professional integrity
• Fluent in Mandarin a plus
