EQUIPMENT TERM EXPLAINED: WHAT DOES “FLEET MAINTAINED” MEAN?
You will see the phrase “fleet maintained” on many used equipment listings, but what does it actually tell you?
A fleet maintained machine was typically part of a professionally managed working fleet with an established schedule for routine service, inspections, and repairs. Instead of sitting neglected between jobs, the equipment was generally kept working and maintained to support daily operations.
Fleet maintained does not mean a machine is brand new or free from normal wear. Buyers should still review its current condition, hours, service history, and inspection results before making a decision.
