Keep Your Hearing Aids Away From Pets 🐶🐱

🐶 They smell like you. Hearing aids can pick up skin oils, earwax, and your personal scent, which can make them interesting to dogs.
👃 Dogs investigate with their noses and mouths. A small object with an unfamiliar smell can become something they want to chew or investigate.
🦷 They're small and chewable. To a dog, a hearing aid can unfortunately look like an interesting little toy.
🔋 Batteries can be especially dangerous. If a pet chews or swallows a hearing-aid battery, it can cause serious injury and requires prompt veterinary attention.
🐱 Cats may be attracted to movement or small objects. A hearing aid or its accessories left somewhere accessible can become something they want to play with.

Store your hearing aids somewhere secure (and dry) when you're not wearing them.
