Hiring Lathe Operator – CNC Machinist

Location: Appleton, WI

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our team. This role offers ownership of the lathe area, allowing you to program, set up, and run CNC turning centers with a high level of independence and pride in craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:
• Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes using technical drawings and CAD files.
• Inspect parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot programming or setup issues to ensure accurate output.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines.
• Manage workflow to meet deadlines and maximize efficiency.
• Select appropriate tooling for a variety of materials including steel, iron, aluminum, and plastics.
• Order raw materials as needed.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.

Qualifications:
• 3+ years of CNC programming and lathe setup experience (Turning centers preferred).
• Experience with Mazak and/or Fanuc-controlled lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and edit G & M code.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and machining materials.
• Own basic machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Associate’s degree in machining or related field is a plus, but not required.
