TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) Welder

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Read blueprints and technical drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
• Set up jobs for welding according to specifications.
• Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
• Align components using calipers, rulers, etc. and clamp pieces
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead)
• Repair components by welding pieces and filling gaps
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to look for flaws
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety requirements
• Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures
• Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.)
• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.)
Requirements:
• TIG (GTAW) welding experience preferred.
• 1 to 2 years of on-the-job welding experience or equivalent education.
• Fabrication experience with aluminum and stainless steel, required. Copper preferred.
• Blueprint reading.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
• Strong customer focus with an understanding of quality standards.
• Must be detail-oriented.
• Familiar with overhead crane operation, chipping hammers, and sanding tools.

• 1-10%: Sitting, Low-Level Position, Crouching, Climbing-Stairs, Climbing-Ladder, Balancing, Climbing-Forklift
• 11-33%: Bending/Stooping, Twisting, Reaching-Overhead
• 34-66%: Standing, Walking, Bending/Stooping, Reaching-Forward, Reaching-Low Level, Push/Pull
• 67-100%: Reaching Forward
Lifting/Carrying
• 1-10%: 75-100 Lbs., over 100 Lbs.
• 11-50%: 25-34 Lbs., 35-50 Lbs., 51-74 Lbs.
• 51-100% up to 10 Lbs., 11-24 Lbs., 25-34 Lbs.
Starting pay will be determined by the results of an on-site welding test.
Precisioned Components offers a retirement plan, health insurance plan, and vacation and holiday pay after a 3 month probation period.
Pay Scale: 36,000 to 52,000 per year.
