I think the vibe was wrong in my last post so I've updated some of it to give you a better idea of what we are looking for and what we are all about.
🚨CNC Machinist – $25–$45/Hour🚨
S&S Tool Inc. – Anoka, MN
Are you the person who likes figuring out how to make a difficult part? ❓
👉🏼S&S Tool Inc. is a small, established precision machine shop in Anoka, Minnesota. We make custom, close-tolerance parts for a variety of applications, which means our work is interesting, varied, and rarely the same thing over and over.
We're looking for a CNC Machinist who takes pride in making quality parts, enjoys solving machining problems, and wants to continue developing their skills.
Pay: $25–$45/hour depending on experience and skill level.
You do NOT need to have every skill listed below to apply. We are open to candidates with different levels of CNC experience. If you have a solid machining background and the right attitude, we are willing to work with the right person to develop additional skills.
💥What You'll Do
- Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce close-tolerance parts.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Write and edit CNC programs and make adjustments at the machine.
- Read and edit G & M code.
- Select appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, and work-holding methods.
- Troubleshoot machining and quality issues and make adjustments as needed.
- Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment.
- Work with a variety of materials including tool steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, plastics, and exotic materials.
- Operate multiple CNC machines as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Communicate with team members about jobs, quality, and production.
- Help identify ways to improve machining processes and make better parts.
Skills & Experience
✅We're especially interested in candidates with experience in all or some all of the following:
- CNC milling and/or CNC turning
- CNC programming and setup
- G & M code
- GibbsCAM
- Fanuc, Haas, Fadal, Mitsubishi, or conversational controls
- Reading mechanical drawings
- Precision inspection and measuring equipment
- Job-shop machining
- Troubleshooting and process improvement
👉🏼If you're an experienced machinist who knows how to set up and run CNC equipment but haven't worked with GibbsCAM, CNC grinding, or one of our particular controls, we still want to talk to you.
✌🏼Likewise, if you're earlier in your CNC career but have strong machining fundamentals, mechanical aptitude, and a desire to learn, we'd like to meet you.
