Another job ready for our customer. This one is a 40 up self aligning or "float" die. This is used to die cut small vacuum formed "cups" or containers. A float die allows the formed part to achieve an equal and even fl**ge each time a part is cut by automatically adjusting or locating to the formed plastic parts. The die base is Birch while the locators are made from Rayform Duracore.

We had a special guest at Key Dies yesterday. Well, not actually. This was one of our fun non-die related projects. A customer of ours bought a of and wanted it mounted to display it. We designed a display then cut it on one of our lasers. It was then assembled and the vinyl decal was placed on to the face board. Now Si can proudly stand on display wherever our customer chooses to pose him.
