Two of the World class leaders of injection molding merge.

UBE Machinery and U-MHI Plastech Co., Ltd.(Former Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Plastic Technology Co., Ltd.) join forces as of August 1, 2020.

These two world class injection machine builders have joined together to transcend all industry standards. U-MHI PT brings an unsurpassed engineering design department which has expanded our product line and enhanced our market presence. U-MHIPT's excellence in design technology and UBE's flexibility in accommodating customer special needs makes these two very independently strong companies come together as one incredibly strong company.

The newly merged company will be known as UBE Machinery. UBE Machinery Corporation located in UBE City Japan will be the parent company. In North America corporate offices will be in Ann Arbor, Michigan with a large office in the Chicago area. Both the Ann Arbor and Chicago offices have extensive parts warehouses. Additional service offices include Kentucky, Indiana, Georgia and Alabama.

UBE will continue to surpass customer expectations by supplying world-class technology and service 24/7.

UBE Machinery received a Supplier of the year 2020 from Magnode, a Shape Corp Company, a major Extrusion manufacturer located in Trenton, Ohio, USA. The technology advanced high functionality, productivity and durability of the Extrusion press, NPC 3300 UST SS／3G, manufactured and delivered by UBE Machinery in 2017.

On February 27, UBE Machinery Inc, an American affiliate company, attended the ceremony on behalf of the UBE Machinery Group and received a commemorative Award. This was awarded not only by the initial sale of the press but the continued support and after sales service. UBE Machinery was 1 of 8 suppliers that won this award out of more than 60 different suppliers that attended the ceremony.

Encouraged by this award, we will continue to provide machinery and services that will meet our customer’s expectations.
