Maker Works Free parking. Memberships can be bought for the day, month or year. Members include beginner makers and professionals. Maker Work is for everyone!

We are a member-based workshop located in Ann Arbor, MI with 14,000 square feet of space filled with tools for builders, makers, artists, and tinkerers in metal, circuits, wood, crafts, and jewelry. When you become a member of Maker Works, you gain access to not just a multitude of professional tools but a thriving and creative community all under a single roof! Wow:) A few shots from the first year of Maker Works (2011/2012). We had lots of space back then! New equipment, studios, and additional members can make the space feel a little tight these days, that's a good thing!

Most of the people have moved on to even bigger things, a couple have passed on. All of these people (and a couple more) set the stage for what Maker Works is, and we're so grateful for all their contributions.

We could not ask for a better crew, then or today.

What does The Creature Conservancy have to do with Maker Works? Dennis & Pam know!

A little over a year ago they volunteered their time and created these fantastic signs with the plasma cutter & powder coater at Maker Works. Today we found ourselves exploring the wonderful organization, and finally had a chance to see them in person. Nice work Dennis & Pam!

Be sure to check out The Creature Conservancy. They do fantastic work supporting a variety of animals, often from complicated situations. It's a great way to hear, see, smell, and learn about some amazing creatures.

Syrena ran our first test on the xTool Wonderpress! This is part of the new Apparel Printing process we're onboarding. A HUGE thank you to Fen Ridge Designs, Signature Sewing (ROB!), Southeast Michigan Woodworkers (DAVID!), and xTool for helping make this happen.

This machine lets you easily dial in and automate the time, heat, pressure AND pressing. A very nice upgrade over our current press.

Classes in October. See it in person for free at out 15th Anniversary Open House on Sep. 26th!

Turned a few pens the past couple weeks! Much appreciation to Ella, Al, Syrena, and Elliot for getting this machine up and running, along with Matt, Moni, and all our members + donors for helping make it happen. Check out the beautiful pens!

Bonus points if you can tell us what other machinery Maker Works has from Penn State Industries. Hint: There are three that see daily use, but not in the woodshop!
