Great, the grinding is done! Now, onto…more grinding!!

This is some of the things that you don’t see in the blade making competition show Forged in Fire. When doing Damascus, you have to make sure every surface of the metal is clean or else it will not weld properly. That means countless hours in front of a grinder, making sure every piece is nice and shiny before each stack up.

A new billet for all things kitchen. When the wife wants a Damascus chef’s knife, the wife gets a Damascus chef’s knife. And maybe a pairing knife, and maybe some steak knives.

Patrick’s most recent project in its final stages; a spear modeled after weapons from the 10-12th century. The spear was made out of 189 layer Damascus from 1075 and 15n20 steel.
