Reposting with pride! Our daughter continues to amaze us with her determination, resilience, and heart. The original post said so much, but we wanted to share a little more about the hard work behind the scenes. After high school, she pursued a degree in Applied Science with a major in Welding—and during that time, and after graduating, she held two jobs: one as a lab assistant in the college welding shop and the other with us as a welder and machining apprentice at Berry Accurate Machine & Fabrication, LLC. It was all driven by her own goals and desire to grow, and she handled it with grit and an unwavering work ethic.
Now, she’s bringing that same drive to HOLT CAT. We’re incredibly grateful she’s with a company that sees her value and supports her continued growth. Thank you HOLT CAT for recognizing the potential we’ve always seen in her.
April is National Welding Month, and we’re proud to celebrate the skilled welders who keep our machines running strong. Today, we'd like to introduce you to Gabrielle McDonald.
Gabrielle is a Welder II & Line Bore Technician at HOLT CAT with eight and a half years of welding experience and three years in line boring. Her journey started early at the age of 16 —learning hands-on skills from her dad and later refining her craft in high school, where she discovered her passion for welding.
What does she love most about her role? The constant opportunity to learn and grow. Whether it’s perfecting welding techniques, tackling complex repairs, or even assembling engines, Gabrielle thrives in an environment that values skill development and teamwork.
What is one of the most important skills for success? The ability to take and receive constructive criticism. Success in this industry comes down to resilience, a willingness to learn, and the ability to problem-solve under pressure.
Gabrielle is a testament to resilience and passion in the welding industry, and we’re proud to have her on our team!
Join us in celebrating her and our entire team of welders who keep our industry moving forward! 💥 🙌
