One capacity rating doesn't tell the whole story.
When you're comparing heavy haul trailers, there are two numbers you need to look at.
ππ» Distributed capacity is the total weight the trailer can carry when the load is spread across the deck.
ππ» Concentrated (point) load capacity is the amount of weight the trailer can support within a smaller section of the deck.
The one that matters depends on what you're hauling.
β
A long piece of equipment that spreads its weight across the trailer? Distributed capacity is your number.
β
A generator, press, or other equipment with a small footprint? Concentrated load capacity becomes just as important.
Before you spec a trailer, make sure you know both.
