This started with a customer telling me the van that he just bought was really hard to start. He got it fired up and brought it down for me to tune up. Turned into a no start that the customer drove in! Couldn't start it on the lot so my son and I pushed it up the hill into the bay. Pulled a spark plug and it was drenched with gas. It was also an offbrand plug, so we reloaded it with Champions and a new cap and rotor. Still no start. Spark check was weak so pulled coil with bracket and trashed both screws in the swap. The famed junk drawer provided the necessary fasteners and reinstalled new Blue Streak coil. Fired on first turn!! Ran smooth after a few seconds. Here's the challenge. #2 plug wouldn't come out when doing the change. Oh, it turned! It just wouldn't back out of the hole. I'm kind freakin'!! 😳😳

Kudos to Eagle Connecting Rods for answering their customer service calls !
Ray Huffman, Sales and Customer Service, not only answered the phone, but couldn't answer my initial question and called me back in about five minutes and gave me the info that I needed. I had called with a concern about a critical clearance on the connecting rod, and turns out, I was using a tape measure where I should've used a micrometer. That's a pun. When measured with the correct machinist tools. They were exactly to spec. Whew!!

How about a Xerox machine for steel tubing? This is as close as I can get today. Shadow does some great angles, too!

Top virologists claim dropping an engine on your foot will make ya holler! So, don't!

Here's a couple looks at a Buick 401, called a Nailhead. The head has a very short, direct ability to move air! That equates to power. The finished product goes in a '63 Riviera....

This is a '63 Ranchero that we did a power disc brake conversion. The original torque struts wouldn't allow for the new master cylinder. Cut those out and built these. Had CWM weld up the shock tower supports. I reinforced the firewall with a custom fab'd
bracket for a little more strength.

The complaint was "my car doesn't start, it doesn't even crank anymore". Battery cables and their terminal pals love clean! Battery was new but but cable ends were ugly and designed for a temp fix. Both had to go! Fired on the first lick!
