This is a key role supporting project delivery—working alongside project management to develop budgets, monitor costs, analyze progress, and provide critical reporting to keep projects on track.

✨ BWISE 2026: Inspiring the Next Generation ✨

From April 20–23, the NANA Worley team was proud to take part in Businesses Working in School Environments (BWISE) 2026, visiting Northwest Arctic Borough School District schools in Ambler, Shungnak, and Kobuk to connect with middle and high school students across the NANA region. BWISE is a NANA initiative that brings the work of NANA NORTH's subsidiaries directly to the youth of the NANA region.

Through interactive presentations, students learned about NANA Worley, LLC, career pathways for shareholders, and how engineering and technology are used in the real world. One of the highlights was a hands-on catapult-building challenge, where students worked in teams, competed against targets, and asked thoughtful questions about engineering, modeling, and career growth.

The energy and curiosity of the students made the trip especially rewarding, and the collaboration with local schools and Shareholder Resource Coordinators (SRCs) helped make each visit a success. BWISE continues to be a meaningful opportunity to share knowledge, spark interest in STEM, and invest in the future of our communities.

Shareholder Spotlight: Viola L. Octuck (Uluġraġruk)
Administrative Assistant, NANA Worley, LLC | 20 Years of Service
Born and raised in Kotzebue and now living in Anchorage, Viola is a proud mom of three and Ahna to four grandsons. Her parents taught her the importance of hard work and dedication, and her late husband Sean inspired her to be her own person.
Viola’s first job with NANA was at age 14 as a dishwasher. After later working at NANA TEST, she’s come full circle and now works for NANA Worley. Outside of work, she enjoys road trips, boating, camping, berry picking, and fishing.
She shares a heartfelt taikuu to Ron Adams for his guidance and dedication to the Iñupiat Iḷitqusiat value of Spirituality. In passing, Ron and Viola would often say with humor, “I love my job, I love my job!”
Viola’s advice to younger shareholders:
“GET UP, GO TO SCHOOL. Opportunities are available. The path is yours, and YOU can make it happen!”
