Finally had time to make the trip to Florida to pick up the Copart donor car and bring it back to Houston! Another two thousand miles with the trailer and I think it’s starting to earn its keep. One step closer to the fun part of tearing the donor apart and getting parts cleaned & prepped to swap into the fully carbon fiber Subaru Impreza S5 #2007

🚨 Big news! OPTML has found a shop space!!! 🚨 Theres a catch though…it’s a shell building and does not do shop things inside…yet! 😅 This is such a huge milestone and has been a longg time in the making (~10 years of grinding behind the scenes)! Extremely excited for this next chapter and really looking forward to growing and learning as we curate this space to work on some insane builds! 😎

Got the last of the carbon fiber parts from and all I can say is I cannot wait to see everything test fit on the car…the wing, the hood with S5 vents 🤯 This car is going to look wild when it is done! Update on the move to Texas. After declining some astronomical shipping quotes I decided to trailer enclosed 4500 miles from Anchorage Alaska to Houston Texas in late June (hence no snow in the photos). I had never trailered a car before so what a better way to learn than moving from AK to TX 😂 All went well for the most part aside from an insane amount of bug splats on the truck…took hours to clean off. Next step is to find some shop space in Houston and get to work!
