This rod release, manufactured from 15-5 stainless steel for a space industry customer, was produced on our dual-spindle live-tooling lathe using a 36” bar loader for highly efficient unattended production.

The project involved multiple layers of complexity, including four separate heat-treat and coating processes along with destructive testing requirements. Through careful process control and coordination, our team delivered a flawless finished part that met the customer’s demanding specifications.
