Smith, Miniature Sculpture & Stencil Artist took the Polar Lite out of the crate a while back: 55W CO₂, a 20" × 12" bed, front and rear pass-throughs for the long stock, one-click autofocus and a built-in camera so you can see what you're doing before you commit.

First thing he did? A power-and-speed grid on 3mm plywood. Not a showpiece — just the honest homework that tells you what your machine can actually do.

Packaging is the first thing anyone touches — usually before the gift itself.

This one started as a stock navy rigid box. A four-petal motif in software, the lid placed straight on the bed, autofocus set to its height, low power and high speed so the emblem marks the surface without cutting through. Forty seconds later it isn't a stock box anymore.
