AMHERST HAS SPOKEN… AND SANTA IS STAYING!

We asked, you answered, and WE LISTENED!

After hearing from so many members of our amazing Amherst community, one thing became VERY clear… Santa isn't going anywhere!

For over 40 years, Santa has been a familiar landmark in Amherst, and we now realize just how many memories and family traditions are tied to him.
And we've already gotten to work!

✅ Fresh landscaping around Santa — DONE!
✅ Santa and the surrounding area pressure washed — DONE!

Next up, Santa will be getting a fresh coat of paint to bring him back to life!

We'll also be adding a small Christmas display to make him a little more festive for the holiday season!

What started as a simple question turned into an overwhelming response from a community that truly cares about its history and traditions.

At Milks Power Equipment, we're proud to keep this piece of Amherst history alive. Sometimes it's the little things that mean the most to a community.

We want to thank everyone who shared their memories, stories, and opinions. We had no idea just how much this big guy meant to so many people!

Here's to another 40 years of families stopping by to take pictures with Santa!

WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU! WHAT SHOULD WE DO WITH SANTA?

If you've driven through Amherst, Ohio, chances are you've seen the giant Santa Claus standing along the road at Milks Power Equipment!

But did you know Santa has been an Amherst landmark since 1984?

Long before Milks Power Equipment became what it is today, the property was home to Herron's Christmas World, a Christmas store owned by the current owner's grandfather.

For over 40 years, Santa has stood proudly along the road, becoming a familiar sight and a piece of Amherst history. Generations of families have driven past him, and we're sure he holds some special memories for many of you!

Now we're asking our community for help deciding WHAT'S NEXT FOR SANTA?

1. Keep Santa right where he is! He's an Amherst landmark!

2. Give Santa a complete makeover

3. Bring back some Christmas magic with a holiday display around Santa!
